The Band

Bucky Barrett
Ray Charles told Bucky that he loved his guitar playing because one minute he made the guitar cry, while the next he made it laugh. One of the world's best virtuoso guitar players, he has played on over 1600 albums and has won numerous industry awards. Roy Orbison was fortunate to have Bucky as his lead guitar and as his good friend.
Jim “Turbo” Kirby
One of Nashville's top keyboard players. He has played with numerous top performers over the years and throughout the 80's toured the world with Roy Orbison until Roy's untimely passing in '88.
Boots Randolph
Boots Randolph has been on Nashville’s “A” team since the early sixties. His single hit “Yakety Sax” brought him international stardom. He was the first and only sax player to play solo with Elvis. His musical genius is unsurpassed and it shines through here as well.
D.J. Fontana
One of the originals! From the Louisiana Hayride days in the mid '50s through the entire '60s D.J. was there at Elvis’s side. The driving beat was so important to Rock ‘n Roll and this was the guy who produced it.
Scotty Moore
Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones said it best, “while most people wanted to be Elvis, I wanted to be Scotty Moore”. Scotty has been there from the very beginning of this thing called Rock ‘n Roll. His guitar licks are legendary. His awards, gold records and recognitions are far too many to include here. It is an honor to have him on "So This Is Love" and to have worked with him.
Jordanaires
The incredible four-part harmony of Elvis’s original background singers. These guys filled those early songs with background vocals that have never been duplicated. Being in the studio with them and hearing some of their Elvis stories was an experience of a lifetime. I am deeply honored that they would agree to sing backup for me on "So This Is Love".
